Developing a List of contacts is a topic that I will like to share with you today. The thought of starting a list could be intimidated for some and yet confusing for others. I have heard a lot of reasons why some people won’t even try starting a list. So, first let’s tackle this subject of Misconceptions about making a List.

 1.-  “I have to know the business before I can approach anyone.”

This question sounds confusing to me, remember when I spoke about finding your passion, and if you don’t start getting into action, if you have not, then you are in the wrong business. You become the center of attention, you need to start letting the word out about your business, and if you run into any blocks or need some help, that’s what your sponsor and team leaders are for.

2.- “I have to be successful before approaching prospects.”

Every successful people started out in the same place, using the sponsor and team leaders’ stories at the beginning, with no team. If you wait until you are successful, you never will. The approach to this concept is motivation; learn to educate yourself as you teach others to do the same. Then you will see the fruits of your labor pay off.

3.- “I do not know what to do.”

The subject about building a business is been talked about in the internet market community every single second of the day, there are several resources available that are able to help you out with this last misconception. If you don’t take action, then you will never know where to start.

 

So, if you have not done so, what is your excuse? There are hundreds of people looking for that right opportunity, and is time to step out to the plate. If you don’t, many of this people will end up in someone else’s list and their business.  I got an Idea and hope you also see it. .

Flood your imagination with vision. Over seventy years ago the French scientist, Emile Coue, uttered a statement which is a clue to why visualization is essential to long term success.

“When the will comes in conflict the imagination, the imagination always carries the day”

In other words, no matter how determined you say you are, if your imagination is not in harmony, you are doomed for failure. To say this in a more positive way, if your deepest needs              , values and internal beliefs agree with your direction, then you are more likely to succeed.

My vision comes from learning, and the first step to excel your business is to take action, building traffic first, your opt in list, your business.  To make a sale, build an opt in list; brand yourself, hard work, short term focus is key.

You also have great sources for finding your first customers: your warm market, referrals, and the cold market. The warm market, I know what you are thinking; “I do not want to sell to my friends.” We are in the business of connecting, not convincing. They know you, like you and will certainly be interested in hearing what you are up to. And it’s not whom you know but how many people they know and then how many people they know and so on. So do not put this source off.

The cold market is a huge pool of talented strangers, thousands are filling the web every single day,  many of whom are looking for more time, money and freedom. They need what you offering and your first approach is to give them the confidence that they are in the right place.

I recommend you spend five minutes a day quietly visualizing your future. Imagine you are in a movie theater watching a film of your successful future. See yourself, up there on the screen, as the principal actor. Notice how you behave now that you have achieved what you set out to achieve. Notice how happy you look. Notice how you walk and talk and interact with the other people in the film. Notice the material benefits of success. Tinker with the imagined scene by adding color, moving images, size of the screen, and sharpness of the images as well of sound. Adjust the imagined scene until it feels “right” to you, until it reflects the most “real” representation of your successful future. Then move out of your seat in the theater, step into the body of the “future you” on the screen and notice what it feels to have achieved your dream.  Look through you future eyes and notice, from the perspective, how others react to you. Notice the surrounding trapping of success. Concentrate on how it feels to have made it.

I know that you are a good person with goals and dreams, and sometimes those dreams could easily be diminishing from disappointments and failures, and that is the time when you need to change your mind set and start learning ways to motive yourself and put your dreams into reality.
